Braunschweig University of Art students visit Kyoto Seika University
Last winter, a group of film students from Braunschweig University of Art came to Japan. Led by Professor Michael Brynntrup, an experimental filmmaker and media artist, this group visited Kyoto, Osaka, and Tokyo as part of their studies, . Since Braunschweig University of Art is one of Kyoto Seika University’s student exchange partner institutions, we welcomed them to campus during one of their days in Kyoto. With assistance from a Braunschweig exchange student who was studying in our Video & Media Arts Course, we gave the visiting students a tour of the campus facilities, had lunch in the university’s cafeteria, and had a moment of quiet reflection at a nearby temple.
After returning home, Professor Brynntrup and his students created a photobook of their adventures in Japan. We look forward to future exchange opportunities with the students and faculty from Braunschweig University of Art!
