The Japanese Language Learning Center provides individual assistance for students learning Japanese. Tutors are available for anything related to studying Japanese. You may be struggling to understand the language, for example, or you might just want some handy tips on how to study. Students of all levels are welcome, from beginners to advanced learners. Also, feel free to pay us a visit if you want to chat about a non-academic issue, which could be anything from cultural differences to concerns about student life.
Please come see us if you experience any of the following:
- I’m struggling to understand Japanese
- I want to chat with someone
- I want to know more about life in Kyoto
- I can’t do my homework.
Opening times (during the semester)
The room is open 12:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday.
※We also run social events on Zoom. International students (including students currently on leave) and Japanese students alike are encouraged to stop by and say hello!
The ID and password for Zoom meetings are available on the Seika Portal under the heading “Japanese Learning Support Room Zoom Meeting.”
You can look up headings via the keyword search function on the Seika Portal.
