A Century of Manga Culture:
An Encounter of Taiwan and Japan’s Youth

The Kyoto International Manga Museum will be holding a special, limited-time exhibition that investigates the history of manga culture in both Taiwan and Japan. With a focus on two key works, The Boy from Clearwater and The Osamu Tezuka Story, this exhibition examines the historical and political factors that have influenced the manga culture in Taiwan and Japan, as well as the ways in which manga artists and editors responded to these influences.
