Guidline for Undergraduate Prigram (Japanese only)

Entrance requirements

To qualify for an undergraduate entrance examination, the following main conditions must be met.
(There are other necessary conditions, so please be sure to refer to the entrance examination guide for details).

  • 1) Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, or if under 18 years old, they must have university admission qualifications as defined by Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology
  • 2) Regardless of country, applicants must have completed a total of 12 years or more of curriculum based on the school education system of one or more countries, or have passed the academic achievement certification test equivalent to 12 years of course completion in each country, etc. Please refer to Kyoto Seika University’s Entrance Examination Guide.

Japanese language proficiency

Either of the following is required at the time of application:
(1) Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLTP): N2 level or higher *The test must have been conducted after 2010
(2) The Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU / Nihon Ryugaku Shiken): 220 points or more in total of [reading]/[listening/listening/reading comprehension] and 25 points or more in the EJU Japanese language test.

Please note that the first EJU examination planned for June 21, 2020 and the JLPT test planned for July 5, 2020 have been canceled. Under these circumstances we will conduct our own Japanese language test for our university so that international students who were scheduled to take those tests can apply.
