Student Dorms

Accommodation is provided at SEIKA's International Student Houses for our first-year ryugakusei, exchange students, and incoming exchange groups. (Due to space limitations, research students can't stay in the dorms, but are assisted on arrival to find other suitable accommodation).

Comparative Cost of Dorms

Rent for a room at a local geshuku, (student dorm) would be around 20-25,000 yen per month (with extra charges for utilities, but probably no Internet access).

A small apartment with mini-kitchen and bath could cost from from 40,000 to 50,000 yen per month, usually with an expensive non-refundable "key money" payment.
The cheapest furnished room accommodation ("monthly mansion" with private kitchen & shower) that we know of here is 49,000 yen per month.
