The Dohokan (International House)

THE DOHOKAN is a fully renovated student dorm on the edge of campus, close by the International Office, for use by visiting overseas student groups. It has eight residential rooms, and can accommodate up to 17 people. (In the case of large groups some rooms are shared by up to three people).

Rooms are Western-style (not tatami), with beds and airconditioning. There is a large shared kitchen,and three showers. Group participants are fully responsible for their own cleaning, cooking, and laundry (washing machines and dryers are provided, at no charge). There is an international payphone installed.

The Doho-kan is within a few minutes walk of KSU's cafeteria (open Mon-Fri 10am-6pm; Sat 10am-3pm) and ARS coffee lounge (open Mon-Fri 8:30am-8pm; Sat 8:30am-3pm). Close by too are KSU's extensive Library, Audio-Visual Center, and computer labs, and the seminar rooms/workshops/studios used for programs. E-mail / Internet access (10BaseT) is available in the Dohokan, the International Center and Library (Johokan).

Access: The KSU free shuttle bus to the Karasuma Line subway runs from in front of the Administration building, and KSU's own stop on the Eiden Railway is over on the west side of the Library (Johokan).

Basic accommodation charge:
