ORIENTATION:
THINGS TO DO AT START OF SEMESTER
ON-CAMPUS (Exchange
students)
Student Registration
and ID Card
About a week after applying (see Orientation), pick up your Student
I.D. card from the Student Affairs Section (Gakusei-ka), at the
Administration
Building,
1F.
Meet your Academic Supervisor
The International Office will schedule a time to
meet your academic advisor, discuss your study objectives and be assigned
to classes.
Be sure to clarify how many credits you need for classes while on exchange.
Register
for credits
The International Office
provides a form to be filled out with your class schedule, names of teachers,
and course code numbers for the semester. Get your academic supervisor
to help you with this, after you have finalized your choice of classes.
Return
the
form to
us (within one month of starting classes, please); we will submit it
to Academic Affairs for class registration for credits.
Apply for Japanese Language Class
Weekly one-to-one Japanese language classes are available with a
tutor in the International Center. Apply at the International Office
after
you find
out your studio/lecture schedule.
Check Out the Gymnasium
If you ‘d like to use Seika’s training room at the gym (2F),
we can introduce you to the caretaker, Nakamura-san. It’s open
all week (8:30am thru 8pm) and is seldom booked for classes except
on Friday
afternoons. You will need a pair of sneakers or slippers that have
not been worn outside. Showers and lockers are downstairs.
