Fostering
creativity and expression by going beyond borders of various media
The purpose of this course is to foster artists who can flourish in all aspects
of visual media, not simply book illustration, in the context of today’s
society. The curriculum offers many opportunities to develop individual
talents in areas ranging from advertising media, including magazines, posters,
and commercial message (CM) work, and more creative fields such as picture-book
illustration, character representations, and other visual art works. Students
will develop rich sensibility and highly creative capabilities, and will
be well prepared to participate fully in all aspects of this continually
expanding field.
