Beyond the boundary between art and design

Emphasis is placed on the achievement of techniques and skills necessary to realize actual works from imagination. In this way students can face materials with full ability to create both 2D and 3D works, and establish their own identity as an artist. An additional objective is to develop a wide-ranging creativity that goes beyond various genres to achieve a flexible attitude incorporating the various textile disciplines of weaving, dyeing etc. Here, we encourage artists to utilize various materials in exploring their own way of expression, from traditional to avant garde, and designers who keep in mind the needs of the market.
