ceramics 1
Creating original styles of artwork that transcend craft

Ceramics range widely from tableware for daily life to huge sculptural objects. This course aims to enable students to build the necessary skills to competently approach any ceramics-based project. We explore the full potential of the medium of clay to embody creative ideas towards development of a new ceramics culture. Students will experience everything from traditional craft to contemporary art. During the four years of this course students will establish their own creative styles through exposure to as many techniques, materials, and ways of thinking as possible.
