Campus Information
The Administration
Building (Honkan)
and Meisokan (formerly the Library, now
housing lecture halls, Gallery Fleur, offices,
and performance spaces)date
from the university's foundation in 1968.

Located further up the valley, the Ryukeikan (above), Fukokan,
and Shunjukan were completed in 1988.
Completed in 1995 were the Gymnasium, Ei-Yu-Kan (student
clubrooms) and the Yuyu-kan, (cafeteria, lounge, art supplies & stationery
store, and bookstore).
The Reimei-kan (lecture halls, language lab and computer rooms)
and the Joho-kan (Library and AV Center), were opened in 1997.
All these newer buildings were designed by avante-garde architect Ueda Atsushi,
head of KSU’s Architecture Department.

The Jizaikan (housing Textiles, Oil Painting, Cartoon and Comic
Art classrooms), designed by KSU’s Prof. Kiyokazu Arai,
was completed in February 2000. In 2003, the Administration Building was
extended
to the east to provide additional office space.
In
2005 the new Seifu-kan classroom block was completed,
next to the Remei-kan.
The Taihokan (also
designed by Prof. Arai of Seika's Architecture Dept.) was opened
in April 2006.An extension on its east side was opened in April
2007, and the new Honkan (Administration Building),
designed by Prof. Suzuki, was opened in April 2009.
