Academic Calendar

Kyoto Seika University's academic year of 2009 began April 1st

First semester classes run from April 9th though July 21st, and the summer vacation begins July 30th). We have a short break for "Golden Week" in early May.

Second semester classes run from September 14th through January 16th (with Spring break beginning Jan 25th). We also have a short Winter Break over the New Year (Dec 25– Jan 5th).

Our Graduation Ceremony is held on Vernal Equinox day, March 20th.

First semester 2010 will run from April 8th. Classes end July 21st. Summer vacation from 29th.


Daily Class Periods

1) 9 am to 10:30 (Mon-Sat)
2) 10:40 to 12:10 (Mon-Sat)

LUNCH BREAK

3) 1 pm to 2:30 (Mon-Fri)
4) 2:40 to 4:10 (Mon-Fri)
5) 4:20 to 5:50 (Mon-Fri)


Cancellation of Classes
IF A TRANSPORT STRIKE or stoppage continues after 9am, (affecting JR, Keihan, Hankyu, Kintetsu, Eiden, Kyoto Bus, or subway services) classes will be cancelled for that ENTIRE DAY.

IF SERVICES RESUME BETWEEN 7am & 9am, only the MORNING CLASSES will be cancelled.

IF SERVICES RESUME BEFORE 7am, classes will be held AS NORMALLY SCHEDULED.
