MESSAGE: "Vertical line need to stay vertical. Horizontal line must be horizontal" This is a word from my professor, he pointed out when I was making model. It is very simple rule of nature but still have a problem to figure out. Understanding of the materials itself is the key to the above quote. Need to have a technical skill to control the materials but also should predict how the materials will be change when it becomes on the final stage. It might rely on the digital technique but still analog is also essential.

MESSAGE:  The study of architecture helps one to understand visual structures and phenomenon of this world, as well as improving one's skills in verbal and graphical presentations. It is necessary for students, architects or designers to develop an early global exposure and perspective. The study of architecture would therefore suit those who are curious about the making of the world, and who want to exert an influence onto advancing forms and ideas in shaping and changing our world. Kyoto provides an extraordinary opportunity to be exposed to some of the world's earliest grid-form city planning schemes, fine wooden architecture, cultural practices like tea ceremony (chado) or kimono, the living arts of craftsmen (shokunin), as well as exciting events throughout the year. Kyoto is close to the commercial hub Osaka where a different new mixes with old, as well as Nara and Kobe. A few years living and studying in Kansai, where Japan's old capitals were located before Edo period, would provide an unique chance for one to re-examine the issues of the living arts of man-made versus nature, old versus new, as well as the learning of Japanese language.
